Settings for NSDA Campus

 If you are debating or competing from your school in synchronous events or using a school provided device, please make sure you share this information with your technology department to guarantee access to the tournament sites. Your website must allow for these things to have access. You must also have a Tabroom.com account. The following is borrowed from other tournaments that have used the same platform.

NSDA Campus is the platform that we will use this weekend. Please make sure beforehand that your students test and troubleshoot the forum. I would ask that you and your students go to campus.speechanddebate.org and test both the Practice Rooms and the Contest Rooms to make sure that you can access them. Our speech and debate laptops did not have any trouble accessing the rooms, but it is best that you try and troubleshoot any issues before the first round. There is a "contact" tab inside the "Test Competition Room" link if you are struggling and can't figure out how to make it work. It is best to do this before Friday though because it does take a few minutes/hours before NSDA responds.

Here is the recommendation from NSDA:

• Ensure several days in advance that participants can connect to both the Test Practice Room and Test Competition Room at campus.speechanddebate.org.

• Here are the websites you’ll want to make sure you’ve whitelisted:

• Meet.jit.si

• Web-cdn.jitsi.net

• Additionally, the following ports will need to be opened:

• 80 TCP: HTTP

• 443 TCP: HTTPS
