SCHEDULE

New judges - briefing / Q&A at 8:00 AM in the judge lounge (link below)

All judges - briefing at 8:25 AM in the judge lounge

Approximate round START times are below.  Postings will come out ~ 15 minutes earlier

R1 - 8:45 AM

R2 - 10:15 AM

R3 - 12:00 noon (lunch between R3 and R4)

R4 - 2:00 PM

R5 - 3:45 PM

End - by around 5:30 PM, with awards to follow

(1) Log into Tabroom

(2) Click on your username (email address) in the upper right corner of the tabroom screen

(3) Click on yellow CURRENT BALLOTS & PANELS button on right side of screen

DURING THE DAY - Watch for rounds to be posted (see schedule, above)

• If you get no ballot, please go to the judge lounge.

• If you get ballot, click on START immediately.  Your ballot will appear

• Then click on blue camera icon in upper corner of ballot.  That will bring you to the room.

• Before starting round, ask participants what side they are defending and whether their team is speaking first or second.  If it does not match your ballot, then reload your ballot.

• Start round as soon as possible, but definitely within 15 minutes of when the pairing comes out.

• If a team runs into trouble with their connection, they get 10 minutes of tech time to fix the situation.  Come back to the judge lounge if a team runs out of tech time.  It is not prep time.  Prep time is 4 minutes.

• When round ends, enter winner and points.  THEN you can talk to debaters and/or enter ballot.  

• Stay in room until you have entered your winner and points.

• If you run into problems, have questions, come to the judge lounge.  If that is not feasible, email MSDLDebate@gmail.com.
