Chesapeake District Qualifier

for the 2019 National Tournament

Dear Coaches:  

The Chesapeake District Committee welcomes you and your team to the District Tournament, to be held (as previously announced at last year’s tournament) on SUNDAY February 24th at Loyola Blakefield High School in Towson, MD.

The tournament features competition in speech, debate, and congress events.  Top entries will qualify for the National Speech and Debate Association National Tournament, to be held this year in June in Dallas, TX.

The tournament invitation may be found by clicking on the green box in the upper right hand corner of this page.  Please read the information in these pages carefully, as this tournament is different than many others that you may be accustomed to attending.

The District will also be hosting a Big Questions Debate tournament on Saturday March 16th, also at Loyola Blakefield.  The top finisher at this tournament will also qualify to NSDA Nationals.  Please click on the "Big Questions Invitation" link on the right for more details.
