SSSDL April Tournament

2017 — NY/US

All New York Public, Private and Parochial Schools are welcome even if you are not members of NSDA.  However, you must register in Tabroom for the debate.

The SSDL April Debate Tournament (actually March 29) will consist of 2 rounds of both Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum.  You may register your students either in Novice or JV.  We ask that all Novice Debaters be first year debaters.  Depending on level of participation we may combine Novice and JV.

Lincoln-Douglas Topic:

Resolved: The United States ought to guarantee the right to housing.

Public Forum Topic:

Resolved: The United States ought to replace the Electoral College with a direct national popular vote.

Scoring is only on a win loss ratio and all 2-0 debaters will be awarded a Ribbon of recognition.

Please arrive no later than 5pm.  Pizza dinner will be provided for free upon arrival and all rounds will start promptly at 5:45.

You are required to bring one judge for every 4 debaters/PF teams.

Experienced seniors are welcome as judges.
