Washburn Rural Invitational

The 2017 Washburn Rural High School Invitational Debate Tournament will take place on Friday-Saturday, September 15-16, 2017

Registration will OPEN on Tabroom.com at 5:00 pm, Monday, August 14th.

* When registering, please supply all requested information.

Registration will CLOSE on Tabroom.com at 5:00 pm, Monday, September 11th.

* Entries received after September 11th will not be guaranteed.

Entry fees, $6.00 per team, will be accessed at 5:00 pm, Monday, September 11th.

If you “drop” a team(s) after September 11th, you will still be obligated for the accessed fee(s).

Coaches will have through 4:00 PM, Wednesday, September 13th to move teams between divisions, and adjust/change the names of debaters as they were first entered.

 

VERY, VERY, VERY IMPORTANT:  WHEN REGISTERING

All entries will initially be "wait listed."

You are allowed up to 4 total teams entered.

An additional 2 teams will be considered.  If you seek a 5th or 6th team, PLEASE send an email to Mr. Ellis with that request:  ellistim@usd437.net.  Consideration of additional teams will first be given to Flint Hills NSDA schools, and then schools hosting tournaments that Washburn Rural will plan to attend AND the school will reciprocate.

If you do not enter more than 4 teams, you have nothing to worry about, until we reach our 160 total teams in the tournament that we can accommodate.  

Critically:  Do not plan on entering more than 4 Varsity teams in the tournament.  If you believe you should have serious consideration of more than 4, send your request to Mr. Ellis for consideration. 

 

Tournament Specifics:

3 divisions: Varsity, Open, Novice (Sat ONLY)

Novice Affirmative Case Limitations will be used during this tournament.  See invitation or the "Custom Page" to the right for specifics.

5 preliminary rounds

Varsity and Open will “break” to Quarters, Semis, Finals

* Head Coach (or Assistant if the Head Coach is not present at the tournament) is expected to judge during the Varsity Division, Round 2 on Friday.
