SF Roosevelt Sweetstakes

2016 — SD/US

Coaches and Competitors,

You are officially invited to participate in the 2016 Sioux Falls Roosevelt Sweetstakes Tournament!  Registration is open!  We will once again be using tabroom.com to run the tournament—here is the link: https://www.tabroom.com/index/tourn/index.mhtml?tourn_id=5647

A limited number of judges are available for hire at $100/judge.  Once judges run out, schools will be expected to provide their own judges (1 qualified judge for every two entries).  If you need some help—let me know.

Please mark your judges in the correct category: if your judge can judge Varsity—please put them in the varsity pool even if they are covering your novice entries.  We will pull down judges where necessary, but we want to have as strong of a varsity pool as possible!

We will once again be encouraging judges to use online ballots in LD and Policy—PF will continue to use paper ballots.  This year we will have Chromebooks available for use for all judges who do not have access to internet (the network will once again be unavailable—but a large number of people were willing and able to use another method of accessing the internet).

Note: If your judge has a linked account (has used online ballots in the past), they will not have a paper ballot waiting for them at the tab table.  We will only print ballots for unlinked accounts.

Reminder on how to link judges:

1)    Sign up your judges as you normally would for a tournament.

2)    Then, have your judges register on tabroom.com – tell them to include their email (and phone if they want text updates for when they have to judge a debate)

3)    As soon as they register on tabroom.com – they will come across a screen—have them find the section that says “Link your Account” underneath the Judges header.  Coordinate with them to make sure the names are spelled the same (Gabe vs. Gabriel… Mike vs. Michael… etc.)

4)    When they click on “Link your Account”—assuming you both spelled their name the same—their will be an option for them to “Claim Judge.”  They should click this button.  When they do, they will be able to access ballots assigned to them throughout the tournament.

5)    IF THIS DOES NOT WORK—then I will be able to directly link their account by typing in their email directly into the software.
