Dear Director of Forensics,

On behalf of the Florida State University, it is my pleasure to cordially invite your speech and debate team to the first annual Garnet & Gold Key Speech and Debate Tournament. The inaugural tournament will be held at the Florida State University on our beautiful campus in Tallahassee, Florida on January 21st & 22nd, 2017.

We will be offering rounds in the following events: Policy Debate, Public Forum Debate, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Congressional Debate, Duo Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Original Oratory, Program Oral Interpretation, Impromptu and Mixed Extemporaneous Speaking. There will be six preliminary rounds in debate events and five preliminary rounds in IEs. Congress will have three preliminary sessions. All events will have out rounds.

All National Speech and Debate Association rules will be followed. If you need a copy of the NSDA rules you can access them at: https://www.speechanddebate.org/rules-forms-manuals/

Registration will be held on Tabroom and opens October 12th, 2016 at 5 P.M. and closes on January 7th, 2017 at 5 P.M. Congress legislation is due December 16th, at 5 P.M.
