Dear Middle School Speech Coaches:
Danville High School is proud to invite you to its annual middle school speech tournament, the Anchor Invitational, on January 16, 2016. We pledge to do our very best to provide a fun and competitive day for you and your students that runs on or ahead of schedule.
CATEGORIES OFFERED
All middle school KHSSL events will be offered.
ENTRIES
You may enter as many students per event as you like; the best three competitors from your team in each event will count toward team sweepstakes. Each student may enter up to three events. If possible, your students will be coded against each other in preliminary rounds and will not meet. Each entry will be charged $5.00. Duo Acting and Duo Improv will be charged $10.00.

AWARDS
Trophies will be awarded to first through sixth places in all categories as well as in sweepstakes. And yes, coaches, we will have the marble clocks for the team awards.
JUDGES/FEES
You must provide one judge for every six entries or fraction thereof; 7 entries = 2 judges, etc. Remember, Duo Acting and Improv Duo count as one entry in judges needed and as two entries in fees to pay ($5 per kid = $10 per duo entry). You may hire judges you do not provide for $30 apiece. Your judges should be familiar with the KHSSL rules and ballots. We promise them lots of goodies and coffee.

DEADLINE 12 PM Eastern ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 13— NO LATE ENTRIES OR CHANGES AFTER THIS DATE, PLEASE. ALL ENTRY CHANGES AFTER THIS DATE (DROPS) WILL BE SUBJECT TO NUISANCE FEES OF FIVE DOLLARS(EXCEPT SUBBING). WE WILL NOT BE ADDING STUDENTS AFTER THE ENTRY DEADLINE THIS YEAR.

DIRECTIONS
Danville is 40 minutes south of Lexington (take highway 27, AKA Nicholasville Road, 22 miles south of Fayette Mall to highway 34 and turn right; 34 becomes Lexington Avenue, and the school is on the right once you’ve entered the residential area of Danville). Danville is 1.5 hours from Louisville (take I-64 to Lawrenceburg and take 127 through Harrodsburg to Danville; turn left into Danville and turn left at Lexington Avenue to reach the school). From Western Kentucky, take the Cumberland Parkway (18 miles north of Bowling Green) to Russell Springs and take 127 to Danville. Follow the road into town and turn right onto Lexington Avenue (two blocks past Main Street). Danville High School is located at 203 E. Lexington Avenue, Danville 40422.
