Judges:

Policy Debate will use 8-3-5 format with 5 minutes of prep time.

Lincoln Douglas will use 4 minutes of prep time.

We encourage disclosure for all events.  Please provide all of your debaters with post-round comments.  Please keep your comments constructive and considerate.

ALL DEBATE EVENTS ALLOW TENTH POINTS (please reserve 30’s for ‘the best speech you’ll see all year’)

Low Point wins are permitted

For Public Forum: We will be using ballot runners—please give them your completed ballot.

For LD and Policy judges: We will be using online ballots—please turn in your ballot before disclosing.

The online ballot help desk (along with the tab table) will be outside of the library.

Students:

We are running a tightly scheduled tournament so please get to your rounds on time.  If your judge doesn’t show up within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time, send one student down to the tab table in front of the library.

Be sure to take notes during judge commentary.  Your coach will be highly appreciative!

A reminder to remain professional (win or lose) during judge commentary.  Feel free to ask questions in an attempt to learn more, but keep dialogue professional.

Please be considerate of classrooms.  You can move desks but please leave everything else alone.  Additionally, put everything back the way you found it and refrain from food and drink.

Tentative Schedules
