NMSDA World Schools Debate Invitational Tournament

Entry Limits: Schools may enter teams made up of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 students. There is a two-entry-per-school limit with a waitlist available. We will accept more teams if numbers allow.

Hybrid Teams: Schools that do not have at least 3 students but would still like to participate may contact Mackenzie Lementino by October 1 to see if hybrid teams are available. If a school has enough students to comprise a team but would like to participate in a hybrid team, contact Mackenzie by October 1 for possible pairings.

Entry Fee: $50 per team

Judging Burden: 1 judge for every 2 entries (more than one will be required if teams are allowed off the waitlist). Schools must have coverage for all rounds of the tournament.

*Breaks and awards will be determined by the regulations put forth in the NMSDA Unified Manual. Both awards and schedule will be adapted to a round-robin format if there is a low number of entries. This is also subject to change should entry numbers grow beyond the number of rounds scheduled. Coaches will be notified of any changes by October 19, 2026. The top 3 placing teams will receive awards.
