I am pleased to welcome our CARD, speech, and D2 Policy community back to Ogden, Utah, for the Weber State CARD Season Opener, a full-service speech tournament, and the D2 Policy Scrimmage.

Mode/Location: This is an in-person event that will accommodate online participation for judges, students, and coaches who cannot join in Ogden. All events, including elims, will take place on the Weber State campus.

Tournament: This is the CARD debate season opener, a full-service speech tournament, and a district 2 policy debate scrimmage. Please see each format's individual invite for event specifics. (D2 Scrimmage and Speech coming soon)

Fees: Fees will be charged to schools participating in the each event to offset the costs of tabulation and shared meals. $80 per each in-person attendee for provided meals, $50 per school (in-person or online) to cover trophy/tab costs. https://secure.touchnet.com/C20249_ustores/web/store_main.jsp?STOREID=137

CARD Coaches/Directors Meeting: A coaches meeting will be held during round 3 on Saturday, October 24th.

CARD membership dues:

Core members of our organization must pay a $100 annual due to cover costs associated with the development and maintenance of our organizational website, which hosts CARD format information, our schedule, the article library, and Conference of Scholars archived presentations. You must pay your annual dues in order to participate as a Core voting organizational member.
