Welcome to the Citron Online Congress Series TournamentThank you for joining the Citron Online District! Our monthly online Congress Series tournaments welcome competitors from across the United States and around the world. All competition is conducted live online via Zoom, allowing students to compete from home without travel or a weekend commitment.
Our goal is to provide a high-quality Congressional Debate experience that is accessible, efficient, and educational while connecting students from diverse schools and communities.

The tournament will consist of two preliminary sessions.
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM ET

Congressional Debate
The tournament will follow all current National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) rules for Congressional Debate. Competitors should be familiar with the procedures outlined in the NSDA High School Unified Manual, including rules governing legislation, precedence and recency, questioning, parliamentary procedure, authorship and sponsorship, and chamber decorum.
Tournament PoliciesNuisance Fees
To help tournaments run smoothly and remain on schedule, Citron assesses a $20 nuisance fee per infraction for:

Late registrations

Competitors who fail to attend without prior notice

Failure to provide required judges
-
Failure to purchase required judge buyouts
Nuisance fees will not be assessed when competitors are withdrawn at least eight (8) hours before the tournament begins.
These policies help ensure a fair and efficient tournament by minimizing last-minute disruptions and allowing tournament staff to prepare accurate pairings and judging assignments.
