Welcome to the Averill Invitational!

Hello:

Please join us in celebrating Tim Averill’s legacy and ongoing educational commitment at the Tim Averill Invitational Debate Tournament to be held online on NSDA Campus Friday-Sunday, October 30–November 1, 2026 in VPF, and Saturday, October 31 ONLY for all other events. We will be working hard to make the tournament enjoyable, affordable, and accessible for all.

The tournament will offer the following events:

Public Forum Varsity
6 preliminary rounds (R1 and R2 on Friday), break to doubles, semis & finals on Sunday --Friday-Sunday

Public Forum Novice -- 5 preliminary rounds Saturday only

Lincoln Douglas
Varsity and Novice
5 preliminary rounds -- Saturday Only
Offering Two Divisions of Novice LD -- One for the Novcember Topic and one for the MA Novice Topic on Compulsory Voting

Policy
Varsity and Novice
3 preliminary rounds -- Saturday Only
Novice Policy will be limited to the NDCA Packet

World Schools
Open -- 4 preliminary rounds
Saturday only

Big Questions
Open -- 4 preliminary rounds
Saturday only
