Colleagues,
Thank you for your interest in the 2026 Chapel Hill/Lindale TFA Winter Swing Extravaganza. In addition to being a qualifier towards TFA State, we are pleased to offer qualification in all relevant events for the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions! We are excited to be a qualifier in all relevant speech events as for the Tournament of Champions held every year at the University of Kentucky. The Lindale portion of the swing also serves as a Top 6 TOC qualifier for Congressional Debate.

Some rounds will begin on Thursday. All rounds will be finished by Saturday.

We believe that our tournament will provide some great opportunities for your students before the winter holidays! We are excited to offer every TFA speech and debate contest, Prose, Poetry. This will be a true swing with two opportunities for every varsity student in every event. We are also proud to offer a slate of novice opportunities - but we will evaluate entry numbers closer to the tournament. We're excited to provide this opportunity for our beginning students.

The current plan is to have one half of the speech tournament (sans extemp) be asynchronous and the other half to be a live tournament. We will make an update and either confirm this or change it by the end of August.

As we get closer to the tournament, we will update the schedule based on entry numbers.
