Charger Challenge
2026 — Draper, UT/US
Why Charger Challenge?
A Message from CCHS Speech & Debate:
We created Charger Challenge to deliver a national-circuit tournament experience that is accessible, affordable, and community-focused for students across the Intermountain West.
We want every competitor — novice to varsity — to build confidence & esteem, sharpen skills, and feel genuinely celebrated.
Our objectives :
We work to offer strong judging, elimination rounds, and a wide range of events including speech, popular supplemental events, multiple debate formats, two-day policy debate, Congress, and asynchronous options that include a variety of Theater events.
Novice divisions ensure students at every level can compete and grow.
Our schedule is designed to allow double entry in a variety of speech, debate & async events.
Abundant Recognition:
We plan to award approximately 275 custom medals, 25 additional student & coach awards, and 8 team awards.
Two dedicated ceremonies (Friday for Debate & Congress, Saturday for Speech, Asyncs & Policy) to highlight student achievement and motivate continued participation.
Community Atmosphere:
Beyond competition, we seek to build connection through university tables (Utah State, University of Utah & Westminster University) SafeUT, National Honor Society, and our popular Vibe Table.
We’ll have games, poetry, horoscopes, snacks, scavenger hunts, Charger bingo, and student prizes at our vibe station.
Places & Spaces allow students to find their people & new friends.
Scale & Growth:
Held throughout Corner Canyon High School’s Draper campus, last year’s tournament welcomed 44 schools from five states. We will reach capacity, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
We hope to see your team this season.
Sincerely,
Jonathan, Tamara, Liam & Jared
