Hello,

We are a few days out from OCSL Squals 2026.

Here is a Live Doc where we will update info as the week progresses.

Registration will be closing shortly so please ensure your judges are entered and you are compliant with CHSSA paperwork in order to get off the waitlist.

Most Important Information

Forms: Each student needs to fill out this form. Please send us a PDF file with all digital copies of the liability form to orangecountycaspeechleague@gmail.com OR your school rep turns them all in physically at registration Sat/Sun morning.

Location: Campus Map - Here is the map to CSULB. We will be in LA buildings as well as LH 151/150. The E10 or E9 parking lots will be your best bet. From LB “Parking is enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. If you choose to park on campus, some form of paid parking is required.” Please pay or risk a ticket.

Coaches: We need a few volunteers to help with extemp prep, parli prep, and room checks. When you check-in for your school we will confer. We used to require every school provide a volunteer for the whole tournament and will have to return to that practice if we don't get the appropriate support.

10:00 am - Round 2

12:30 pm - Round 3

2:15 pm - Round 4

4:00 pm - Debate Elim 1

5:30 pm - Awards

Speech + Congress - Sunday

8:00 am - Speech & Congress Round 1

10:15 am - Speech & Congress Round 2

1 pm - SPEECH Round 3

2 pm- CONGRESS Round 3

3:30 pm - CONGRESS Round 4 (Paneled) & SPEECH Finals (any event with three panels after Round 2 will have a final)

5:00 pm - Awards

Congress PO: We need one volunteer from Congress to agree to PO. They will automatically qualify to State as a PO. Please reach out.

Parli: We need more entries. We currently have 1. Automatically the top 5 will qualify.

Food - There will be no food options open on campus or concessions so please do bring food or pack accordingly. We will provide pizza lunch and snacks for judges .

Saturday February 28th - Debate

Sunday March 1st - Speech & Congress

Entry rules: Schools must have registered with CHSSA before the December 1st deadline or the late Feb 13th deadline + Every student entered attended minimally one OCSL event be it Novice, Fall or Spring)

Fees: You can pay either via paypal at this link or send a check with an arrival date by Thursday 2/26 made out to the Orange County Speech League and mailed to 1725 S. Auburn Way #134, Anaheim, CA 92805
