2026 Cobbler Classic

When: Friday and Saturday, February 6th & 7th

Where: Central High School, 433 Mt Rushmore Road

Welcome to the 2026 Cobbler Classic Tournament. We are thrilled to be hosting our tournament this year!

Registration

Registration will occur from 3:30 pm-4:00 pm on Friday, February 6th

Please have your initial entries in by Monday, February 1st

We ask that you have names entered and entries finalized by Thursday, February 5th. We will freeze the fees on Thursday, February 5th, 2026.

Debate Events: Lincoln Douglas, Public Forum

Speech Events: Humor, Original Oratory, Poetry, Extemp, Informative, POI, Duo Interp, Drama

Congress: Will be held during both rounds

Congress Legislation

Please submit all congress legislation to zachary.powers@k12.sd.us

Congress Legislation submissions will be accepted until January 30th.

We will be using submitted legislation as well as the NSDA bills (NSDA for supplement if we do not receive enough self-submitted legislation)

Judging and Fees

We will be asking for schools to bring a few judges. Basically, one judge for every 5 entries. If you have debaters entered, a judge who will do some debate would be greatly appreciated.

Map for Parking and Entrance

Please enter through the Main Entrance. Teams will be located in the Cafeteria. Tabroom will be located in the main office of the Freshman House. The Judge Lounge (hospitality room) will be located in F118 in the Freshman House. (Maps of the school below) There will be signage throughout the school to aid with navigation!

Wifi

There will be open wifi for all competitors. You will need to connect to the wifi network labeled "Monitored". This is our open school wifi.

Concessions

There will be concessions available on Saturday 10am-3pm for all competitors. Concessions will be located in our "Field House" in the Activities Department. There will be signs to direct people to concessions.
