The Washington Area Speech and Debate League (WASDL) 5 tournaments for ALL EVENTS (LD, PF, Congress, Policy, and Speech) on Saturday, February 21, 2026 are being heldONLINE in NSDA Campus. Registration deadlines are—

Competitors: 9:00 pm, Tuesday, February 17, 2026
Judges: 9:00 pm, Thursday, February 19, 2026
Drops/Name Changes: 9:00 pm, Friday, February 20, 2026

Congress Legislation: 9:00 pm, Tuesday, February 17, 2026 (Bill template). Please review Congress topics and upload requirements.

Public Forum topic— Resolved: The Federal Trade Commission should establish a federal regulatory framework for sports betting.

Lincoln-Douglas topic— Resolved: The possession of nuclear weapons is immoral.

Policy topic— Resolved: The United States federal government should significantly increase its exploration and/or development of the Arctic.

Due to fairness and the logistical challenges of the virtual environment, we might limit or prohibit double-entry for competitors in Extemp and Impromptu events — we are working on formats that will allow as much double-entry as possible and will update this information as we get closer to the tournament.

Note that competitors and judges must have Tabroom accounts linked to your team's Tabroom rosters in order to compete virtually on the NSDA Campus competition platform: Ensure all of your competitors and judges are linked and they have tested their device and network connections well-before the tournament to.

An authorized adult representative or coach MUST be "with" the students at the tournament site (virtually in your Squad Room and immediately available to your students, judges, and Tab Room staff) at ALL times tournament day. This is a SAFETY issue.
