Welcome to the Colorado Middle School Speech and Debate League!

This tournament will be hosted online and is open to middle school students.

We will be running both Asynchronous and Synchronous options for the tournament.This tournament will follow all NSDA rules, timing, and ballots for the offered events. Studentscannotenter in two synchronous events. Students can double enter in the Asynchronous category or across waves.

For Debate, we will be using the January NSDA Topic: Resolved: The People’s Republic of China should substantially reduce its international extraction of natural resources.

Schedule:

February 13th: all registrations and Asynchronous videos are DUE and finalized.

February 13th - 20th: all asynchronous rounds are judged

February 20th: Synchronous rounds take place with the following schedule (all times are on MST)

Judge Training at 4:00 - Link

Round 1 - 4:30 to 5:30

Round 2 - 5:45 to 6:45

Round 3 - 7:00 to 8:00

Finals (if needed) - 8:00 to 8:45

Awards - 9:00 to 9:30

*Recordings need to be uploaded to a shared Google Drive Link or YouTube link for best access for judges. These will be tested as soon as they are entered for ease of access when tournament begins.
