APA Draper

The 2026 UHSAA State 2A Speech & Debate Tournament will be hosted by APA Draper on March 13-14, 2026.

Registration will open on Feb. 22, 2026.

Events

Debate events will include Congress, LD Debate, PF Debate, and Spontaneous Argumentation.

Speech events will include Combined Extemp., Combined Interp., Oratory, Impromptu, and Informative Speaking.

Double Entry and Event Caps

Students may enter no more that one speech event and one debate event. No more than four student entries per school may compete in SpAr, Congress, Combined Extemp., Combined Interp., Original Oratory, Impromptu, and LD Debate. No more than four teams per school may compete in PF Debate. No school may have more than 25 total student entries in the tournament.

Required Judges

Each school must provide one judge per six speech entries, and one judge per two debate entries.
