GenAI Policy

The NPDL Board believes that the use of generative artificial intelligence to write parliamentary debate speeches undermines the educational purposes of debate and the extemporaneous demands of the event. Debaters at NPDL-TOC should not use GenAI to write any part of a speech. Judges are encouraged to give a loss to any team that does so, and incidents may be reported to tournament staff.
