Hello!

We cordially invite you to attend the first annual Mansfield Legacy "Putting on the Ritz" TFA Debate Invitational on February 14th, 2026!

With this being the last TFA qualifying tournament, we will strive to provide an efficient tournament experience while also allowing students to maximize their ability to cross enter for any last second attempts to qualify for state.

Things you need to know:

WE WILL NOT BE PROVIDING CONCESSIONS AT THIS TOURNAMENT.

Please make sure to plan accordingly. There are numerous restaurants within short distance of the high school

Section A: OO, DUO, HI, Poetry, IX, DX
Category B: DI, INFO, POI, Prose, DUET

We will attempt to announce finals results ASAP and get trophies out to students/teams as soon as we have results, but there will be no formal awards ceremony

Congressional Debate:

Congressional Debate students may cross-enter into Category A events. They may only cross-enter in one Category A event.

Prelims: 4, 6, 11, 16

Semis: 17, 20, 15, 7

Finals: 13, 19, 12, 1

LD and PF will use the NSDA Topic for January/February

LD: Resolved: The possession of nuclear weapons is immoral.

PF: Resolved: The Federal Trade Commission should establish a federal regulatory framework for sports betting.

Policy Debate will utilize the 25-26 Topic:

Resolved: The United States federal government should significantly increase its exploration and/or development of the Arctic.

Miscellaneous Notes:

Debate brackets willnotbe broken.

All qualifying events follow TFA rules. PRO/POE will follow TFA rules, but selections that fit either of the UIL categories will also be allowed.
