Topics and Announcements

Schools may submit up to two (2) pieces of legislation each for the Student Congress docket for the JCFL Diocesan Qualifier. That legislation should be submitted by the coach to the Diocesan Moderator via email (maierd@gosaints.org) by Wednesday, January 28. For consistency with other Mississippi tournaments, please use the NSDA formatting guidelines. The Diocesan Moderator will seek to post the bill book by Friday, January 30

The topics for the JCFL Diocesan Qualifier are as follows:

Lincoln-Douglas Debate: Resolved: The possession of nuclear weapons is immoral.

Policy Debate: Resolved: The United States federal government should significantly increase its exploration and/or development of the Arctic.

Public Forum Debate: Resolved: The Federal Trade Commission should establish a federal regulatory framework for sports betting.
