Anticipated Breaks Protocols

Anticipated Rounds and Breaks in Each Event:

CX:

4 prelims breaking to Full Quarters

-Quarters will have 1 judge; semis and finals will have panel.

LD:

If 51+ compete in prelims: 4 prelims breaking to Full Octos

If >51 compete in prelims: 4 prelims breaking to partial Octos (3-1s)

Octos and quarters will have one judge; semis and final will have panel

PF:

4 prelims breaking to Full Quarters

Quarters will have one judge; semis and final will have panel

WSD:

4 prelims breaking to full semi.

Semis and Finals will have panel.

Congress:

Prelims rooms will have no more than 9 students per chamber.

Top 3 from each chamber advance to semi

Top 6 from each semi advance to final (final will have 12)

IEs:

Events with 25+ entries will have one prelim, semi, and final.

TFA Events with 18-24 will have one prelim, semi, and final.

TFA Events with under 18, Prose, and Poetry will have two prelims and a final.

Our goal is to panel all TFA semi-finals. If judge availability precludes this, all semis will have single judge.
