HIGH PLAINS UIL INVITATIONAL MEET

Amarillo ISD academic teams invite you to our 3rd annual UIL invitational meet on February 11, 2026 at the Amarillo Area Center for Advanced Learning at 1100 N Forest St Amarillo TX 79106

Events. We will offer all UIL academic events except the Computer Science Programming portion and speech.

Materials. We will use UIL Meet A materials and ASW for spelling

Hospitality. Light snacks will be provided for coaches and bus drivers. We will not have concessions this year. We are conveniently located near several food options that are easy to access or order from. Schools are free to bring their own food or (if time permits) leave campus for lunch and are asked to clean up all trash in the common area and testing rooms.

ALL ENTRIES ARE DUE BY 5pm Friday, JAN 30, 2026.

$5 per entry per event, with up to 6 entries per school in an event.

Please make all drops by 4 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026 by email.

If your academic contestants wish to cross-enter in events, please pay careful attention to the schedule to avoid time conflicts. We will not delay the start of academic contests for the sake of missing students!

Teams must bring their own computers and printers or may choose to write by hand.

Please note that teams entering any journalism contest must provide at least one journalism grader. teams entering Ready Writing must provide at least one Ready Writing grader.

UIL Rules will apply. Coaches are responsible for checking their own students’ papers after they have been graded to confirm scores are correct.

Awards will be announced and given out as each contest is judged and will be announced in the holding room. Ribbons will be given to the top 6 places.

Payment of Fees: Schools should bring a check payable to Tascosa Speech and Debate to cover all fees. You may also mail the check ahead of time.
