2026 — Frenship High School, Lubbock, TX/US

The Hub City Swing hosted by All Saints and Frenship

FRENSHIP HIGH SCHOOL

902 Dowden Road

Wolfforth, TX, 79382

February 6th-7th, 2026

All Saints and Frenship are proud to welcome all of you to the first ever Hub City Swing Tournament!

We are going to work very hard to make this a big deal! Besides offering you two opportunities at points in the same weekend, we are also making this a true community building event. We will be donating to a local charity and hosting a drive, we are trying to bring in as much Lubbock speech culture as possible, and we will have a variety of specialty awards up for grabs.

Wolfforth is a VERY short drive from the west side of Lubbock. If you plan on getting hotels, we recommend looking around the West Side of Lubbock next to highway 62 and the West Loop. There are loads of hotels and eateries in this area and it would give you easy travel during the weekend. If you google "hotels near south plains mall," that should put you in the exact spot on the map you need to be.

We will be consistently emailing with more info, but below you can find the basic information and we will update it as we get closer. Please come and get a slice of Lubbock hospitality.

Sincerely,

JT Seymore, Shane Strawbridge, Heather Byars, and Bekka Berryhill

***Before you register at the tournament, we would appreciate you filling out this brief medical questionnaire for any students that may need extra attention throughout the tournament. We just want to be able to have a plan if something happens when their coaches aren’t around. This is not for every entry, just ones you feel warrant mentioning their situation.

Below you will find more details!

1)We will use the TFA rules and constitution for all events and their formats. Feel free to use UIL scripts for IE's, but know there are no specific categories.

2)Though we are using a lot of hires and volunteers, we ask that each school provides one judge that we can call upon. We are not going to charge judging fees for not having more than one, but failure to provide a judge if asked will result in the removal of your entries from the tournament. Each judge should be available at least one round past their last entry standing.

3)We will make our best attempt to panel semi-finals and final rounds. We do not plan to do so for quarters of any events and possibly finals of non-qualifier events such as prose and poetry.

4) We reserve the right to enter a few of our own competitors, this is to both help with numbers, help our own team, and give our MS kids a little experience.

Event Info:

Extemp: Draw will take place in Theater Room 1406, FX and DX will be held in the same patterns. Feel free to switch up entries for either halves, but you may not enter a student in both extemps in a single round, obviously.
