Welcome to the Franklin Winter Classic

The tournament will be in person at Franklin High School on December 5-6, 2025. We will be offering the complete set of events in IE’s and LD, PF, and Congressional debate. If any events fail to meet qualifying numbers, the event will be dropped.

All schools are limited to 6 entries in Congress.

Please refer to the schedule for event times. All cross-entries are at the student’s own risk. If a student does not make their round on-time they may be dropped, regardless of the reason. Out-rounds will be paneled only if we have enough judges available. We will break brackets in debate out-rounds.

Please remember that all coaches are required to judge as much as possible, and any adult who is on campus with your team (including parents who are there to observe) will be expected to judge.

Please adhere to the entry and drop deadlines. Entries will only be added to help an event make. Drop fees will be incurred.

Franklin students will be participating in events at this tournament.

We will do our best to accelerate the schedule if/when possible, so please pay close attention to the postings and updates.

PF Resolved: The United States federal government should require technology companies to provide lawful access to encrypted communications.

8:30 A.M.-4:00P.M. Congress (Items 12, 14, 19, 10, 18 for prelims in that order, 11, 13, 16, 17, 7 for finals - the students may set the order in the chamber for finals)

7:00 P.M.- Rd 3

Saturday: Students are limited to two IE's per pattern, or one debate plus two IE's in opposite pattern. Each school is capped at four entries per event.

8:00- LD Semis

8:30 - Duo, OO, POI, USX (draw at 8:00)

10:00 - INFO, Duet, HI, DI, FX (draw at 9:30)

10:30- LD Finals

11:30- Semis for Duo, OO, POI, USX (Draw at 11:00)

1:00-Semis for INFO, Duet, HI, DI, FX (draw at 12:30),

2:30- Finals for Duo, OO, POI, USX (Draw at 2:00)

4:00- Finals for INFO, Duet, HI, DI, FX (draw at 3:30)
