Tournament Information

Dear Coaches/Sponsors:

You and your squad are cordially invited to the Salina Central High School Forensics tournament on February 21^st, 2026

On Saturday, registration will begin at 7:00 AM at the South Entrance to the school. All rounds beginning at 8:00 AM, with USX, IX and IDA draws beginning at 7:45 am. The speech tournament will feature three rounds of preliminary competition, and finals. Finals will be cut-throat. Events we will be hosting will be: Prose, Poetry, POI, Humorous Interp, Dramatic Interp, Informative-10, Informative-7, Original Oration, Duet Acting, Duo Interp, IDA, Domestic Extemp, Foreign Extemp, and Impromptu. Medals will be awarded to the top six competitors in each event. Sweepstakes awards will be presented to the top three schools based upon the performance of their top twelve competitors in prelim rounds. Entry fees will be $5.00 for individual events, $10.00 for Duet Acting/Duo Interp and IDA. You may enter up to 20 entries per school, with extras being allowed as we have space available. Students may enter three events, but can not enter two draw events unless one of those draw events in Impromptu (not both extemps or an extemp and an IDA.)

Students should stay in the cafeteria when not performing to help keep the halls quite during performances. All KSHSAA rules will be in effect. Students are not to enter rooms until a judge is present.

All entries must be received by Friday, February 13th. We will be using tabroom and the event is http://salinacentral4n6.tabroom.com/

8:00-9:30 am Round 1

9:00 am Draw start Round 2

9:30-11:00 am Round 2

10:30 am Draw starts Round 3

11:00am-12:30 pm Round 3

12:30-1:00 Lunch (we will have a pizza deal available)

1:00-2:30 pm Finals Round

Awards will begin as soon as possible once finals rounds have concluded.
