IE-LD-PF Elims Procedures

Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum
All entries with a 3-1 record or better will advance to a single-elimination bracket by seeding. Brackets will not be broken. The "final" round will not be held; both semifinal winners will qualify to nationals.

Speech Events
A minimum of 33% of the entry field (rounded up to the nearest whole number), as measured by the number of participants in Round 1, shall advance to the first elimination round. Rank ties will not be broken; all tied entries will advance.

If eight or more entries advance, a semifinal round will be held, and then the top six will advance to finals. If 15 or more entries advance, there will be three sections of semifinals.
If seven or fewer entries advance, the event will go straight to a final round.

USX: 15 entries / min 5 break
