2026 — League City, TX/US

Contest Logistics

The Clear Falls UIL Academics Invitational Tournament will be hosted on Saturday, January 31st, 2026 at Clear Falls High School (4380 Village Way, League City, TX 77573).

The first tested events will begin at 9:00 a.m. Participants and sponsors may begin arriving after 8:30 a.m.

Upon arrival to Clear Falls, it is recommended that participants park in the student parking lot north of our Performing Arts Center and enter through the doors therein. They'll be directed to continue past the PAC where we will have two registration tables set up. One will be clearly marked "UIL Academics"; the other will be marked "Junior High / Middle School Speech & Debate". The lead representative of each campus should be the individual that checks in their school upon arrival at the "UIL Academics" table. Students will check-in at their competition room 10 minutes prior to the start of their tested event with the Contest Director. The registration table will have maps and schedules (with room assignments) for campus representatives and event sponsors. We will also have large print-outs of the same posted nearby for students and guests to review.

Students will be housed before and after their testing in the Clear Falls Commons (located down a long hallway from the point at which you entered the building. This space will be shared with schools competing in the Junior High / Middle School speech and debate tournament also being held that day. There will be a Concessions stand for the enjoyment of all participants.

The UIL Academics competition/testing rooms will be located in what we term "House 4", which is the lower level academic wing adjacent to the PAC. As you walk down to the Clear Falls Commons, you will walk right past the front of the house. Rooms will be easily identifiable. The largest tests will be administered in our campus Testing Center. Other tests will be hosted in nearby classrooms or computer labs. Scoring rooms will be located nearby as well for sponsors to relocate to near the end of their event's testing period. Contest directors will bring over all contest materials, as well as rubrics and score sheets for the scoring and verification of results. If sponsors can bring several color ink pens to facilitate with multiple scoring by the scoring team, that would be ideal.

Upon the verification of tabulated results, a copy of the tabulation sheet for each event will be posted near the UIL Academics table. Sponsors whose students placed in the top placing spots in each event will be able to pick up their students' awards from the designated Awards Room.

Students must be supervised by either their event sponsor or another authorized adult representative from their campus while they are at Clear Falls High School. All students are expected to abide by their campus Student Conduct Code and follow the directives of Clear Falls staff and administration to ensure their safety and the proper care for our facilities. Any students found to be violating our expectations will be excused from the contest immediately and if necessary referred to their campus leadership for consequences. Any violations of the law will be referred to law enforcement as well.
