Nickerson March Madness Invitational
2026 — Nickerson, KS/US
Main
The Nickerson Forensics team welcomes you to the March Madness Invitational to be held at Nickerson High School on March 14. Individual events on Saturday will consist of 3 prelim rounds and finals. This tournament will feature all 321A events, as well as sports extemp. The details of that event can be found when you click on the event. We also reserve the right to split informative 7/10 if numbers should justify it. Students may enter as many events as they feel they have adequate time to compete in, but we will not rearrange the schedule to accommodate any special cases, so please have your students plan accordingly. Please plan on providing us with at least one judge for the day. We will accept 16 entries per school. You can add extra entries to your wishlist but this tournament always explodes in numbers, so no guarantees they’ll get in.
We will also offer a festival division for middle school during high school finals. The signup sheet for the middle school division can be found here. We ask that any school with entries in the middle school division please provide us with at least 1 judge who is NOT in the high school judge pool to ensure we can make this happen.

March is all about bracket upsets and underdogs rising to the occasion. In the spirit of March Madness, finals at this tournament will be cutthroat instead of cumulative for all events except sports extemp, which will not go to finals. All other KSHSAA rules will be in effect. We will be providing sweepstakes awards to the top 3 teams and medaling the top 6 in each event. Sports extemp will not count for sweeps, but will also receive awards for the top 6 in that event. Any middle schooler receiving a I rating will receive a certificate.
We hope to see you there!
