Welcome to the YFL State Qualifier at Turlock High!

Campus will open at 4 p.m. on Friday with our first round starting thereafter.

Awards from previous tournaments will need to be collected by coaches. State Qualifiers will be announced at the awards ceremony on Saturday.

We are so glad to have you all join us for our State Qualifying Tournament! As our tournament occurs, please keep a few things in mind as your team registers to compete:

-Double entry in both extemporaneous speaking events is NOT allowed

-Double entry with Duo Interp is going to be ran with the SPEECH PATTERN!

-Students may enter a maximum of two events in the Speech pattern.

-Double entry in more than one Debate event is NOT permitted

Judges will need to create a Tabroom account (see attached instructions) and bring a device for accessing online digital ballots.

Reminders for YFL tournaments:

*We continue to use digital prep for Extemp.

*No recording of events! This will result in an immediate disqualification.

*When not competing, students are to remain in the student common area.

*There must be a coach on site during the entirety of the tournament!
