Judge Obligations

All Speech judge obligations are for the entirety of the tournament, should a judge only be for 1-day then it is the responsibility of the school to fulfill the judge obligation for the 2nd day with a separate judge to complete coverage of their obligation. A judge is responsible for the entire day for each day of the tournament they are assigned. An obligation does not end if all competitors from a school are no longer competing.

Breaks

Based on the numbers we currently expect to to hold semifinal rounds in OO, Extemp, Impromptu, and Info. Based on size of final pool Extemp, Impromptu, and OO may break up to 18 competitors based on results to and clean breaks.

The tournament frowns on the use of AI in extemporaneous speaking for locating evidence. However, any use of AI to generate complete speech content, will result in immediate disqualification. Room monitors will be checking throughout semis and finals for violations.
