TOURNAMENT ANNOUCEMENT DOC

You and your team are cordially invited to compete at this year’s Big Red Macke Nationals Warmup, hosted by Denison University and Mercer University. This tournament will be hosted virtually via Zoom:

TOURNAMENT INFO

- This tournament will be run according to NPDA bylaws

- Enter teams via Tabroom at http://brmnatwarmup.tabroom.com

- Tournament structure will be determined by the number of entries; for now, we plan on holding 5 prelim rounds, with a break to octafinals; all teams with winning records will advance to elims

- Prep time is 30 minutes

- Entry fee is $60/team.

- Each entry requires 3 rounds of judging; schools incur a $150 fine per uncovered entry.

- Judges are committed through the first elim round or the round after their school's last entry has been eliminated from the tournament, whichever happens last.

***IMPORTANT NOTES***

(1) 1/30/26: We are hosting a novice final breakout round during open semifinals. Please enter your novice teams into the open pool and note that they are novice participants! Do note that a novice team that qualifies to debate in the open elim bracket will be inelligible to debate in the novice final even if that team is eliminated from the open division before the novice final round occurs.
