Georgia Southern Peach District Qualifier

for the 2026 National Tournament

Speech Qualifier Information

Welcome to the NSDA Southern Peach Speech National Qualifier!

We are aLEVEL 2 district, meaning as long as we have four entries from two schools in each speech event, we will be able to qualify two entries to Nationals. To qualify a third entry, we will need 30 entries in that division.

The speech qualifying tournament for 2026 will be run asynchronously through January 28 to January 31, 2026.

EXTEMP RULES

• Entries are due Wednesday, 1/21.

• Topics will be distributed to coaches for each round.

• Each student will complete four total speeches, recorded on video:

  • Three preliminary round speeches

  • One elimination round speech

• For each round, students will receive their topic and then complete their prep and speech live with their coach present.

  • Prep time does not need to be recorded.

  • The speech must be recorded.

• Once the speech is completed, the student (or coach) will upload the recording to YouTube and then paste the YouTube link into the Extemp judging spreadsheet for ballots/judging.

INTERP/PLATFORM

• Entries are due Wednesday, 1/28.

• Videos must be uploaded to Tabroom by Wednesday, 1/28.

SCHEDULE

All Videos will be due on Tabroom by Wednesday, 1/28 at 5:00pm EST.

Preliminary rounds will be sent out on 1/28 and due on 1/30 at 5:00pm EST.

Elimination rounds will be due on Saturday at 3:00pm EST.
