2026 MCFL Debate Qualifier Invitation

The tournament will be held on January 10th

At Fort Atkinson High School.

Competition is limited to schools who are members of the MCFL. It is not a WDCA Tournament and will not count toward qualification to the WSDT.

The top 6 entries in each division will earn qualification to the NCFL Grand National Tournament on May 21st and 22nd in Washington DC. Please do not enter students who cannot compete at Nationals.

Divisions:

Policy, PF, and LD. Schools may enter up to 5 entries in each division.

Deadlines:

Entries must be registered by Wednesday, January 7th at 6 PM. If a division has 6 or fewer entries, competition may be cancelled for that division so teams can compete in the Fort Atkinson tournament if they choose.

Judges must be registered by Wednesday, January 7th at 6 PM. Judges in PF and LD will likely be needed to judge in both divisions. The tournament is looking to hire a few extra judges in addition to everyone’s obligations.

Lunch: Lunch will be sold by the Fort Atkinson Debate team to students. Adults will be fed by the tournament.

Fees:

LD $50 per entry

PF/Policy $60 per entry
