Dear Coaches,

On behalf of The Blake School, we invite you to the 63rd Annual John Edie Holiday Debates from Saturday, December 20th to Monday, December 22nd hosted at the Marriott City Center Hotel in Minneapolis, MN.

The tournament will feature open divisions in Congress, Lincoln Douglas, Public Forum and World Schools Debate. In LD and PF, we will be using the Jan/Feb topics and will have six prelim rounds. All LD and PF debaters with a 4-2 or better record will advance to elimination rounds.

The Edie is a Tournament of Champions Qualifier at the Quarterfinal level in LD, the Octafinal level in PF and Policy, and a Tier 1 level bid in Congressional Debate (Top 6). Please submit Congress Legislation no later than Monday, November 3rd at 8pm. Please email to blakelegislation@gmail.com

In addition to the Edie Holiday Debates, we will host the Twin Cities Round Robin on Friday, December 19th for Public Forum (18th year) and Lincoln Douglas (4th year). This year on Friday, December 19th, we will hold the 1st Annual World Schools Debate Training Workshop, details will show up on the WSD Information tab on this website.
