Dear Congressional Debate Coach,

Grayslake Central High School invites you and your debaters to the ICDA 2 Debate Tournament, Saturday October 18, 2025.

Bus Parking Information:

Enter on Hillside Street (north side of the school). Once on Hillside, turn left in the 2^nd parking lot entrance and drop off under the green GCHS letters. Debaters will enter at Door #29 or Door #30. Bus parking is available in the Main Lot off of Hillside St., the Municipal Parking Lot across the street at the Northwest corner of Hillside St. and Lake St. or at the Grayslake Aquatic Center: 250 Library Lane, Grayslake, IL.

Legislation

All 9 bills will be debated at the Varsity and Junior Varsity Level at ICDA 2

Entry Deadline

All entries are due by 5:00 P.M. Friday October 10^th on tabroom.com.

A school may enter up to 45 debaters at the Varsity level. There is no limit to the number of Junior Varsity.

Tournament Registration Fee

The entry fee is $10 per debater. This is based on your original registration on tabroom.com. TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION checks should be made payable to:

Schedule

Registration: 7:15-7:50am

Judge meeting: 7:55-8:10am

Session 1: 8:15-10:30am

Break: 10:30-11:00am

Session 2: 11:00-1:00pm

Lunch: 1:00-1:45pm

Session 3: 1:45-3:45pm

Elections/Awards: ASAP

Judging

Each school is required to provide one judge for each session for every 9 entries. The number of entries includes all students from your school entered in the Varsity and Junior Varsity levels of the tournament. The number of judges you are responsible for is based on the original entry; drops will not be considered while scheduling judges. All judges should be prepared to judge three (3) sessions. It is the Head Coach's responsibility to ensure each judge is properly trained to judge at this tournament.

Food

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for coaches and judges. Pizza lunch orders for debaters need to be submitted on Tabroom under the Concessions tab, by Friday October 10^th at 5:00 P.M. Payment for pizzas will be taken during registration on the day of the tournament. The cost for pizza is $16 for cheese and $17 for either pepperoni or sausage.

Awards

Awards will be outside in the football stadium. Teams should sit on the bleachers by the press box.
