Welcome to Salina Central Debate Tournament

Dear Coaches/Sponsors:

The Salina Central Debate team is pleased to invite you to the Salina Central Debate tournament on October 25th, 2025.

The tournament will host open, junior varsity, and novice divisions.

Novices will use the novice packet.

The tournament will consist of four rounds with medals going to the top eight teams in each division. Sweepstakes will be given to the top two schools based on your top 3 teams, you must have teams entered in open/jv and novice. We will accept the first 60-70 teams. Each school may enter up to five teams in any division, extra entries will be enter if we have the space on a first-come, first-serve basis. You may be able to add more teams if we have room, and if you allow us the same courtesy at your tournament. Fees per team are $6.00. The first two rounds will be pre-set and the third and fourth will be power matched. All KSHSAA rules will apply. Third and fourth year debaters may be used to judge novice division, if you have any students eligible to judge we welcome their help. We will do our best to find judges, but if you have judges who can attend please enter them. If you have 4 entries please provide one judge.

Novices will be restricted to first year debaters and will use the novice case files only.

All entries must be received by Friday, October 17th, 2025. Cancellation dates are due ASAP when you know them. Entry fees are final as of October 21st.

Please enter from the South side of the building (not the front entrance). It is the attendance entrance near the stadium, there is a walkway up to the building (not the circle drive out front).

We reserve the right to ask coaches to judge a round, but we will only use you as necessary.

11:30-1:0 pm Round 3

1:00-1:45 pm Lunch

1:45-3:15 pm Round 4

3:30 pm Awards will begin as soon as possible once Round 4 is over.
