Registration

  • Your school CFL membership must be completed in order to attend this tournament.
  • Entries and judges are due Thursday, January 22, 2026.
  • Entries will be taken off the waitlist after your school has fulfilled its judging obligation. 1 judge for every 4 entries. Unaffiliated judges will cover 12 entries. Please email me at eritchie@pausd.org if you have unaffiliated judges.

7:30 – 7:50 am

Coaches must check in (NOT JUDGES) at the tabroom to confirm entries and provide contact information to ensure they’re available all day

7:45 am: Extemp reports to the Extemp Prep room for instructions.

All other students should be checking Tabroom and looking for email updates.

8:30 am - 10:00 am

Extemp prep begins at 8:00 am

Round 2
10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Extemp prep begins at 10:15 am

Lunch
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

PM shift judges report to the library for instructions

Pairing and Tiebreakers

Pairing and tiebreaking rules are determined in the CFL membership bylaws and posted on the CFL website (see Section 3).

UKTOC Speech Tournament: UKTOC speech bids will be awarded per the UKTOC event criteria.

Health & Wellness

If you’re feeling sick, CFL strongly prefers that you not attend the tournament to protect other participants, including people who are immunocompromised and/or live with others who are immunocompromised. Masks will be provided at the tournament for those who wish to wear them. No participant will be penalized for wearing or not wearing a mask. All participants should respect each other’s health & wellness preferences, including (but not limited to) masking and social distancing.
