10:45 Round 2 Flight A begins (start Flight B immediately after entering Flight A ballots, if applicable) (Parli prep Flight A)

NOON LUNCH BEGINS (Adults under covered area in front of theater, Students in front of Cafe)

1:20 Round 3 Flight A begins (start Flight B immediately after entering Flight A ballots, if applicable) (Parli prep Flight A)

Parli, PF, and LD should expect rounds to be flighted,meaning that many judges will need to judge two rounds back to back in the same room, while each student/team will compete either in the A slot or B slot in a room.

Debate Judging Ratios:

1 judge : 3 LD entries

1 judge : 2 PF entries

1 judge : 2 parli entries

1 judge : 2 policy entries

All judges should complete the NSDA Cultural Competency Training found on the Tabroom website and must have a linked Tabroom account. You may NOT enter students as judges for any division except for Novice.

LD -The possession of nuclear weapons is immoral.

PF - The People’s Republic of China should substantially reduce its international extraction of natural resources.

Policy - The United States federal government should significantly increase its exploration and/or development of the Arctic.

Health & Wellness

If you’re feeling sick, CFL strongly prefers that you not attend the tournament to protect other participants, including people who are immunocompromised and/or live with others who are immunocompromised. Although proof of vaccination and/or masking are not required by CFL, masks will be provided at the tournament for those who wish to wear them. No participant will be penalized for wearing/not wearing a mask; and all participants should respect each other’s health & wellness preferences, including (but not limited to) masking and social distancing.
