UIL Academic Meet-December 13, 2025

Dear UIL Academic Coordinators:

Ennis High School is excited about hosting our annual Christmas INVITATIONAL UIL ACADEMIC MEET on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

There will be only one division of academic competition, and entries will be limited due to expected size; therefore, entries will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. When the maximum number of entries for a limited contest is reached, that contest is filled. You can make substitutions on the day of the tournament. Please report any changes in speaking events so that we are able to make a more accurate schedule. Please email or text changes immediately when you have them to eric.adams@ennis.k12.tx.us or 469-360-6098.

The meet will follow UIL rules and offer all events with the exception of Student Congress and hands-on computer science. Medals will be awarded to the top six winners in each event. The top scorer in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics will be recognized. Sweepstakes awards will be presented to the two top schools. Individual awards and team awards will be announced throughout the day after the official results have been verified and recorded for each contest. Test papers and other contest materials may be taken with you when you leave.

Schools MUST provide graders for any event that a student is entered into. Please indicate on the entry form the names of the persons who will be grading/judging. A grading/judging fee of $100 will be assessed for all missing graders and judges.

Have any judges you bring sign up as a judge and/or create an account in TABROOM!!!

Refreshments for sponsors, graders, and judges will be provided in our generous hospitality room. A snack bar/concessions stand will be available to students throughout the tournament. Christmas sweaters and attire are encouraged for everyone (including speakers)!

Fees:

$20 for LD per entry

$30 for CX team

$20 per speaking event per speaker

$15 per journalism event per entry

$10 per non-speaking (academic, objective) event per entry.

$100 per missing judge for speech events

You may NOT enter students in speaking or journalism events for which you do not have a grader/judge without prior approval.

Drops in speaking events after December 9th will result in the loss of the entry fee and a $10 drop fee.

Please make your check payable to Ennis High School - UIL Academics. You may mail your check to me at the address below or bring a check on the day of the tournament.
