Location: Granite Bay High School (1 Grizzly Way, Granite Bay, CA 95746)

NOTE: The Saturday schedule has been updated to reflect a 3-hour delay to accommodate students taking the March SAT.

Because of this (and other events at GBHS), parking will be tricky! Please look at the local parking map for details.

TLDR, for Saturday, consider one of the following options:

1. Arrange carpools and drop off students/judges at the front of the school.
2. If a coach/judge is driving, drop students off and park in designated volunteer (coach/judge) parking spots, of which there are a limited number available on the back of the GBHS campus.
3. Budget an additional 20-30 minutes and walk from a local parking lot, through the 75 degrees and sunny weather (the horror!). Seriously though, it's gonna be a beautiful day, bring a Frisbee.

1. Oakhills School (7 minute walk)
2. Ridgeview Elementary (7 minute walk)
3. Feist Park (5 minute walk)
4. Hillsborough Park - not recommended (17 minute walk)

Note: For the first three options, Google Maps will try to make you walk the long way, but you can cut through the back entrance of the high school.

• Student HQ: Cafeteria*

*On Saturday morning, the cafeteria (student area) will be occupied by the band until 12:30 PM, which means Student HQ will not be available early in the day. Students should plan to either enjoy the late-morning weather outside or spectate a round during Round 2B.

Student HQ will open in the cafeteria between Rounds 2B and 3A, and we will have that space available for the remainder of the tournament.

Round 4A Finals: 4:00pm

Round 4B Finals: 6:00pm [Extemp Draw 5:30 PM]

Awards: 7:30

*Events with over 14 entries will break to a semi-final round after Prelim Round 2.

*Events with 14 or fewer entries will have 3 prelim rounds and then finals.

League Championship

The CVFL Sweepstakes Broom becomes a permanent (non-traveling) award at the conclusion of the CVFL state qualifier tournaments. The CVFL Sweepstakes Broom is permanently awarded to the school with the highest sum of sweepstakes points earned at both the CVFL Speech State Qualifier and the CVFL Debate State Qualifier. In addition to earning the Broom, this school may also bask in the glory of their title as CVFL League Champions for the competitive season.

Team MVP

The entry from each school with the highest number of sweepstakes points earned will be recognized as their Team MVP of the tournament at the awards ceremony.
