The Clear Lake High School Speech & Debate team welcomes you to the 50th Annual Clear Lake Falcon Classic, held this year on September 5th and 6th, 2025. We will be offering debate events on Friday and Saturday, and all IE's will be held on Saturday only. We are proud to serve as a Texas Forensic Association Invitational Qualifying Tournament, and are bringing back our TOC Congress bid.

The following topics will be debated:

Cross-Examination Debate will use the current 2025-2026 NSDA CX topic: Resolved: The United States federal government should significantly increase its exploration and/or development of the Arctic.

Lincoln-Douglas Debate (both divisions – we will not be using the novice topic) will use the 2025-2026 September/October LD topic: Resolved: In the United States criminal justice system, plea bargaining is just.

Public Forum Debate (both divisions) will use the 2025-2026 September/October PF topic: Resolved: The United Kingdom should rejoin the European Union.

Congressional Debate will utilize Direct Questioning in all rounds the following legislation from the TFA Fall 2025 Legislative docket:
- Prelims will be following the scaffold Prelims order : 13, 15, 14, 12, 11

Semis (if numbers warrant) will be following the scaffold order of: 25, 24, 21, 23, 22

Finals will be following the scaffold in the order of: 17, 16, 19, 18, 20

World Schools Debate will debate the following motions:
