Entry Caps and Limits
We are gracious to host our tournament on Cabot High School's vast campus.
Every effort will be made to clear the waitlist in events with more entries than the entry cap.**
Pattern A: Dramatic Interpretation*, Duo Interpretation*, Impromptu Speaking, Original Oratory*, Poetry Interpretation*, Storytelling
Pattern B: Extemporaneous Speaking*, Humorous Interpretation*, Improvised Duet Acting, Informative Speaking*, Program Oral Interpretation*, Prose*
Below are the entry caps for each event:
Congressional Debate - 90 students (10 student delegates from each school is the max)
Junior High Congressional Debate - 30 students (10 student delegates from each school is the max)
HS IPDA Round Robin - 16 students in two pods (4 max from each school)
JH IPDA Round Robin - 10 students in two pods (2 max from each school)
JH Public Forum - 12 teams (3 max from each school)
Lincoln Douglas - 60 students (No limit on entries per school)
Chris Flowers Policy Debate - 20 teams (No limit on entries per school)
Public Forum - 30 teams (No limit on entries per school)
World Schools - 16 (2 max from each school)
HS Speech (TOC) - 36 entries per event (the goal is to ensure all finalists receive a bid - a bid projection report will be published sooner to the tournament start date)
HS Speech (ACTAA) - 24 entries per event
JH Speech (ACTAA) - 16 entries per event (POE/PRO have a limit of 24) - **this is especially important for us in JH. Every effort will be made to accommodate additional sections in JH speech as soon as entries warrant additional sections.
Group Events (ACTAA) - 6 entries per event (2 max from each school)
