Hello, and welcome to the 2025 State Tournament at Western Kentucky University, hosted by WKU 4n6!

This weekend is going to be GREAT!

Please read the tournament invitation and the documents posted on the right side of the page for most information.

Here is other important info to be aware of.

PARKING:

Cars:

On Friday, cars can park in the Parking Structure #2 (320 University Blvd for your GPS). KHSSL has paid for 150 slots for our use, and the barrier gates will be up by the time rounds are over Friday evening, so you won't have to pay to leave.

On Saturday, you CANNOT park in PS#2. The map (see posted maps on right side of page) shows lots of other lots on campus where you CAN park for free, but not this garage. There is a WKU Men's Basketball game on campus AND the Girls Sweet Sixteen basketball tournament that night, and they will tow and ticket you if you park in PS#2 on Saturday.

Buses:

Buses can drop off and pick up students ONLY at Downing Student Union. With everything else going on for the campus this weekend, please don't go rogue and do it somewhere else. The map posted on the right side of this page shows EXACTLY what buses MUST do. They will then have to leave campus until pickup time.

FOOD:

Friday food options are still being worked out and will be posted when they are settled.

Saturday food options are posted on the right side of this page. Postings and awards and merchandise and the tab room and the judges’ lounge will be in Downing, so we suggest you eat breakfast OFF CAMPUS before you come to the tournament and then eat lunch at Downing in one of the restaurants open there (or in Subway across the street).

QUARTERFINALS:

Six events will break to the top 24, or the Quarterfinals -- Broadcasting, Extemporaneous Speaking, Impromptu Speaking, Improvisational Duo, Poetry, and Prose – after the three preliminary rounds are complete. The other events will all break straight to Semifinals (the top 12). Rounds will be held on the schedule posted on the right side of this page.
