The Topeka West High School Forensics squad would like to invite you and your squad to compete at our tournament on Feb 28-March 1, 2025.

We will be offering an LD/PF and Student Congress tournament on Friday

We will be offering the following events on Saturday: Original Oration, Informative 10, Domestic Extemp., International Extemp., Humorous Interp., Dramatic Interp., Duo Interp, Prose, Poetry, POI, and Impromptu

LD/PF Congressional Debate

RD 1 - 3:45 Session 1 - 3:30-5:00

RD 2 - 4:45 Session 2 - 5:30 - 7:00

RD 3 - 5:45

RD 4 - 6:45

Saturday, March 1

Registration: 7:30

First Draw: 8:00

Rd 1 – 8:30 - 10

Rd 2 – 10:10 - 11:40

Rd 3 – 11:50 - 1:20

Finals – 1:45 or ASAP

Awards - ASAP

Fees are $6 per entry, and $12 for DUO entries.

Judges: We plan to recruit a diverse group of community member judges for our rounds. But, it is likely that we will ask some coaches and assistants to cover a few rounds. We are a small squad this year, so if our tournament becomes large (or if the kids come up way short) we do reserve the right to ask all schools in attendance to help us cover judging.

Sweepstakes will be based on your top 15 across all SATURDAY SPEECH EVENTS.

The top six competitors in Individual Events will advance to finals and receive medals for their placement. The top two schools in sweepstakes points will receive trophies.
