World Schools Debate Entry Info
All District Tournament eligibility requirements apply to World Schools Debate entries. All entries will be waitlisted until verification that all entries are paid NSDA members who are district tournament-eligible, and from schools who are paid active NSDA members.
Entries may be from one school, or may be entered as a hybrid entry from multiple schools within the West Los Angeles District. Our district will qualify the top two teams, regardless of their entry status (same-school or hybrid).
Parking
Parking is available in the parking garage located on Third Street (near the intersection of Third St. and Delaware Rd.). It is a brief walk from the parking garage to the main campus area where the tournament will be held.
Tournament Site Information
Students should gather in the cafeteria and covered lunch shelter area. Judges and coaches should report to the Library. Most rounds will take place in the main quad area in the central part of the Burbank HS campus. No food or drinks are allowed in classrooms (except for water). Students may not enter a classroom unless an adult is present.
Please do not touch or move items in classrooms, especially items on teachers' desks. Please honor and respect the courtesy that Burbank High School is giving our district schools to use their spaces.
Student Meal Pre-Orders
Student meals will be available to pre-order no later than Saturday, March 1st, 2025. All student meal pre-orders must be made no later than Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 at 3:00pm. There will be a very limited number of meals available for day-of purchases, so we strongly encourage teams to pre-order their team's meals. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the tournament.
While there are many food options within walking or driving distance of the Burbank High School campus, we ask that you please support our host school and strongly discourage your students (or their parents) from leaving campus to purchase food offsite. In addition to being unsupportive of our host, it is also a significant liability issue for coaches and schools to have students wandering off campus during the tournament.

Info Slide: Cyber-vigilantism is when people take the law into their own hands on the internet instead of seeking help from the legal system. This includes name-and-shame websites for perpetrators, crowdsourcing and leaking of private information of such individuals, the creation of content where individuals entrap or confront perpetrators, etc.
