2025 MSM Forensics Festival

High School and Junior High Divisions

Mount St. Mary Academy’s Forensics Team invites you to the MSM High School and Junior High School Forensics Festival February 1, 2025. We will offer a Saturday ONLY forensics tournament; no debate events. This is a qualifying high school tournament for the ACTAA Arkansas State Championship with AAA sanctioning.

Events offered:

HI, DI, Duo Interp, Oratory, Informative, Impromptu,

Program of Oral Interp, Prose, Poetry, Storytelling, Duet Improv,

Solo and Duet Acting, Solo Musical and Duet Musical, Dramatic Song Lyric

Group Reader’s Theatre and Words & Music if interest permits

Events will have only one prelim round. Semis and Finals will be determined depending on the number of entries for each event. We will offer sweepstakes awards based on squad efficiency to high school and junior high schools. We will have trophies and medals for top 6 finalists in IE’s for High School and medals and certificates for Junior High. To qualify for sweepstakes, a minimum of 8 IEs is required.

A $30 school entry fee will be assessed. High School individual event entry is $15, $30 for duo/duet. Junior High individual event entry is $10, $20 for duo/duet. The deadline to register is 5pm Monday, January 27th. Additions and/or drops made after the deadline will have a $10 fee per change. Please make sure students understand NO ROUND WILL BE HELD TO ACCOMMODATE LATE STUDENTS. In order to promote fairness and efficiency please follow the judge commitment guideline of one judge per 8 IE entries. A $40 missing judge fee will be applied for each judge under the requirement. School provided judges will be utilized in both high school and junior high pools to best avoid conflicts and maximize availability. Junior high rounds may be judged by upper level high school students with a minimum of 250 NSDA points. (This may count towards your judge burden if the student judge is available for all rounds.) Judges will be offered hospitality for breakfast and lunch and our greatest appreciation!

Concessions will be provided for lunch and snacks. We ask that no outside food is brought in as this is how we fund our season. Handicap and gender neutral restrooms are available. Please note other desired accommodations on Tabroom.com.
