Debate and Extemp Info

• Debate topics March PF topic and March/April LD topic will be used.
• PF will use a coin toss in the presence of the judge to determine sides and team speaking order.
• Extemp draw will be in the auditorium
• Extempers draw 3 questions (not 5 like with OSSAA).
• There is a cross examination period in FINALS! Competitors will watch/take notes on the speech of the speaker before them (last speaker watches first) and asks questions in a 3-minute CX.
• You will be walked to your speaking room for the FINALS round.

• Debaters and extempers are allowed by NSDA rules to use electronic devices and access the internet. They still may not access preprepared speeches or briefs or communicate with anyone inside or outside of the room about preparation/answers.
